Abstract
This contribution focuses on the emotional prosody contained in telephone calls to the medical emergency services at the CHRU of Besancon and the CHUV of Lausanne. 115 telephone calls from the two databases, French and Swiss. The audio recordings were first completely anonymized, then they were segmented into complete utterances, and finally the latter were labeled according to the emotion perceived. Only statements containing a negative valence emotion were targeted for the remainder of the study. 1566 different statements were first selected and submitted for evaluation to three native French-speaking students. The 1143 statements which received convergent labeling from the three evaluators were analyzed. The fundamental frequency (f(0)) is the most discriminant acoustic parameter, the differences between various types of emotion are significant.
